Democritus was one of the most significant pre-Socratic philosophers who broadly contributed in composition of atoms, which are considered to be physically but not geometrically divisible. Democritus was also broadly concerned about elaborating a system which was designed by his teacher Leucippus, and has also provided a materialist account of the natural world. One of the most significant aspect which can be linked to the philosopher Democritus, is his theory of universe which today can be linked with modern atomic theory.
